Welcome back to another edition of the Arts and Culture Events Guide! When the summer heat hits, there’s no better escape than stepping into an art museum or gallery.

I always believe sharing is caring so letting you know something (OG subscribers, already know!). Bank of America cardholders get free general admission to cultural institutions across the U.S. during the first full weekend of every month through their Museums on Us program. And with a long weekend coming up, the next chance to use this perk is July 5th and 6th. You can check their website for all the details. For full transparency, this isn’t sponsored… but! In a dream world, it absolutely would be. Now, let’s dive into the events!

Seven Events from Coast to Coast

  1. July 5 - Brand X Editions: Innovation in Screenprinting Exhibition Opening at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (Philadelphia)

  2. July 5 - City in a Garden: Queer Art and Activism in Chicago Exhibition Opening at Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (Chicago, IL)

  3. July 17 - Heritage, Design, and Culture in the Black Home at the African American History and Culture Museum (DC)

  4. July 18 - Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain Exhibition Opening at the Oakland Museum of California (Oakland, CA)

  5. Until July 27, 2025 - Nancy Elizabeth Prophet: I Will Not Bend an Inch at the Brooklyn Art Museum (NYC area)

  6. Until July 27, 2025 - Veronica Ryan: Unruly Objects at the Pulitzer Art Museum (St. Louis, MO)

  7. Until March 29, 2026 - Tomashi Jackson: Across the Universe Exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (Houston, TX)
